Investment Philosophy
We Choose Quality Investments & Monitor Them
At Gasaway Investment Advisors, we offer unbiased investment recommendations to meet your plan's objectives. Our investment philosophy is to use highly rated investment options that meet our stringent screening criteria and invest for the long-term.
Through the use of an "open architecture" platform, we have the ability to build an investment menu using only highly rated funds for you participants. We are able to pick and choose from over 10,000 mutual funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and fixed income investment options. Since we are independent of any fund, brokerage or other investment company, we have no proprietary products to push or fund family minimums to meet. This allows you to choose from among the top rated funds in each asset sector, rather than having to choose funds from a single fund family. In our experience, we have found that even the best fund families have areas where they are weak.
What We Look for in an Investment
Investments are selected based on their historical performance relative to: risk, their peers and to appropriate market benchmarks in both rising and falling markets. We also look at other selection criteria, such as a fund's overall expense ratio and manager tenure.
Monitoring the Available Funds
After an investment option is selected, Gasaway Investment Advisors regularly monitors each investment and provides you with a detailed review to help your investment committee document its due diligence. If we see changes that we feel should be made, we make a recommendation to your plan's Investment Committee for approval. Then we communicate any changes to participants and include information to help them make fully informed decisions.

Assets are not held at Gasaway Investment Advisors, Inc., but rather with an independent outside custodian.
